With thousands of Americans suffering the devastation from Hurricane Helene, and another hurricane on the way, FEMA’s running out of money?!?
The Federal Emergency Management Agency can meet immediate needs but does not have enough funding to make it through the hurricane season, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters Wednesday.
And this…
President Biden warned that the money for a disaster aid loan program used by survivors of Hurricane Helene and other calamities will soon dry up without intervention from Congress.
In a letter to the four congressional leaders on Friday, Mr. Biden said the Small Business Administration’s program is on the verge of going broke before Congress is slated to return after the Nov. 5 election.
The loans are a “critical lifeline” that act as the “largest source of Federal disaster recovery funds,” he said, adding that $1.2 billion is needed to refill the program’s coffers. Lawmakers are out of town until Nov. 12.
So, where did FEMA’s money go?
Well, not counting the $175 billion sent to the Ukraine, here is where a large chunk of it went…
…the Biden administration has spent tens of billions of dollars helping to ease the pain caused by their illegal migrant invasion. Local governments are required to provide education to all children, regardless of legal status, and the Department of Education helps local governments pay to educate these children. Hospitals must provide emergency care to all patients, even illegal immigrants without health insurance, and so the Department of Health and Human Services helps local hospitals stay afloat by reimbursing them through Medicaid.
And the Department of Homeland Security helps provide food, housing, and transportation to illegal immigrants through FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program and Shelter and Services Program Awards program. When the influx of migrants was bankrupting cities across the country this past winter, Democratic mayors traveled to the White House to beg Biden for more FEMA money to help their communities “meet the growing needs of these individuals.”
And the White House gave them the FEMA money they wanted. In just the last two years alone, the Biden administration has spent over $1 billion in FEMA funds giving local communities the resources needed to deal with the migrant crisis that the Biden administration created.
It’s no wonder the Biden-Harris administration is being blasted for running out of money to deal with Hurricane Helene after blowing billions on migrants.
In other news, KJP was caught in a lie and is being slammed after over here mixed messages on whether FEMA resources used for migrants.
She is now denying they used FEMA for iIIegal migrants.
But in 2022 she clearly said they used FEMA money for iIIegal migrants.
