YGTBFKM: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ‘Darkens’ Journalism With Not-So-Subtle Bias

On any given issue, it is difficult to find a media outlet that is not, either overtly or covertly, biased in its coverage. Sometimes, it is subtle. However, often it is not.
Take, for example, this headline from the Milwaukee Journal Sentenel published on Saturday: Donald Trump delivers a dark speech on immigration in Wisconsin’s Prairie du Chien.
While many readers may not have a problem with the headline’s terminology, the insertion of the word “dark” is an example of ‘coloring’ (pun intended) with media bias.
The writer, Hope Karnopp, did not write the article as an opinion piece. However, throughout the article, once can read her bias in her “reporting.”
“Media bias isn’t necessarily a bad thing,” notes AllSides.com. “But hidden bias misleads, manipulates and divides us.”
Media bias is rampant today, and one of the main reasons we have the category “Media” on YGTBFKM News…to call it out when we see it.
