NEW: A man was stabbed in a Bronx train station early Sunday morning, seen bleeding on Subway platform in NYC.

The 38-year-old man was stabbed in the arm at 138th Street 6 train station in Mott Haven section, just before 4 a.m., police say.

NEW: Two women arrested after a police officer suffered a brutal head injury while trying to stop one of the women from fleeing the scene.

The police officer was sent to the hospital for a head injury and remains in serious condition.
